Southern Fried Graphics is a small, independent graphics design company solely owned and operated by Jackie Jones. All digital and print content is generated by Jackie for a variety of political and small business clientele.

Art makes me happy. I always remember this quote from Tom Robbins: “The purpose of art is to provide what life does not.”

This work is incredibly satisfying to me—I get to help people deliver positive messages and realize their personal visions of how they want to be seen by the world. I don’t know what could be better than that.

Born and raised in Western North Carolina, Jackie studied design and art history at Duke University before working in textile design in both NC and in NYC. During the collapse of the US textile industry, she returned to the south to continue her education at NCSU, where she studied physics, math, and astronomy. Now firmly established in the Triangle area, she has since worked in engineering and administrative roles. No matter what changes have come, she has never stopped making things, having created and sold artwork consistently through every phase of her life.
In 2017, she became more politically active and learned that her wide range of skills was perfectly suited to working in the political arena: organizing, event planning, recruiting volunteers, research, writing, community building, data analysis, and creating graphics to help with all of it! Southern Fried Graphics has grown organically out of the work she has done to support political candidates and help create political branding for the local Democratic Party. She has since branched out to supporting local non-profits and helping a number of new local businesses establish their branding and social media presence.
In addition to her day job, political work, and graphics work, Jackie also loves to cook, knit, read, and walk in the woods. She lives with her partner and their two amazing kids, two cats, and crazy dog.
